The Daily Show Head Writer on Why He Returns to Vanderbilt University. Hear from head writer of The Daily Show and Vanderbilt University alumnus Zhubin Parang talk about how Vanderbilt University help shape him and his comedy.
Parang earned a bachelor of arts in 2003, with a double major in political science and sociology. After graduating from Vanderbilt, he went to Georgetown law school and practiced law. He left the law in 2010, and within a year he was a writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. In 2015 he was promoted to head writer for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
Parang is among the Daily Show writers whose work has been recognized twice with an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. His writing has been featured in McSweeney’s, The Onion and The Morning News.
